When you schedule with Drp IV, you will experience advanced mobile IV therapy at its finest. We do all that we can to ensure that it’s a comfortable, easy, and convenient process. Here’s what you can expect.
First, the nurse will arrive at the time of your appointment. They’ll ensure that all your forms are completed and that the service has been approved by our medical control providers. They’ll then have you choose a spot where you will be most comfortable and begin setting up their minimal equipment. The first thing they will do once set up is take your vitals. If you have any questions at this point, don’t hesitate to ask, our nurses are highly educated and love to help patients understand each part of the process.
Next, the nurse will give you a couple resources that have more information about the procedure and what you should “know before you flow” as we put it. After that, they’ll get the IV ready to place.
We understand that many individuals are not fans of needles so our team takes great care to choose nurses with extensive experience in placing IVs. We regularly get reviews stating that the process of placing the IV was quick and exceeds expectations. Many people also don’t know that the needle doesn’t stay in the arm, it is just used to place a very small, flexible catheter that will allow the fluid to go in.
After the saline begins dripping, the nurse will prepare the vitamins and nutrients by drawing them up in vials. One by one, they’ll “push” them either into the saline bag or through the tubing of the IV. They’ll also explain one by one the benefits that come from each nutrient.
Depending on your veins, advanced mobile iv therapy can last from 30 minutes to an hour. After it’s over the nurse will carefully remove the catheter and begin packing up their equipment. You should begin feeling better right away and notice a difference over the next few hours and days.
